The Silicon Valley Golf Challenge presents amateur golfers the feeling of being a world class golf professional for the day, judged by the same measurements of success and failure. Participants will compete for significant prize money while battling nerves in front of a television audience, peers and spectators. This event will be regulated by the NCGA. Where else can competitors and strategic partners alike meet on a neutral battlefield where scars are only temporary, the missed opportunities not fatal, and the fun of competition and giving the ultimate goal? Because giving is personal, each winning team is given the right to direct Challenge monies won to a charity of choice.
The Silicon Valley Golf Challenge is a unique invitational golf event that allows amateur golfers the chance to feel what it is like to be a pro golfer for the day playing for a $125,000 prize purse for charities of choice. The competition is monitored by NCGA officials, television cameras catch all the heroics and disappointments of the Shoot Out, friends and colleagues watch play for added pressure, and a 1 hour program airs on NBC Sports Bay Area in the months following the tournament highlighting all the action.
This year’s Challenge will be on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Stanford Golf Course.
The Silicon Valley Golf Challenge is celebrating its 13th year and brings together high level business executives from the most successful companies in and around the Silicon Valley along with notable participants from sports, politics, philanthropy and education for a day of competition and friendship and an opportunity to give back to charities of personal choice. This unique group bonds around golf’s core principles of integrity, spirit, and goodwill.
